Heritage Montreal are moving to save an emblematic downtown landmark : the giant Milk Bottle of the former Guaranteed Pure Milk Dairy Company. This initiative, to clean and repaint the Milk Bottle, will ensure its survival, and will at the same time remind Montrealers of an important part of their history. Look at the actions that are planned for the Héritage Montréal campaign on http://www.sauvonslapinte.com/, Sid Lee is associated not only creatively, but also as a partner. Montreal is one of the three cities that received the UNESCO City of Design designation along with Berlin and Buenos Aires three years ago. Hélène Godin, from Sid Lee, started the creation of posters to show the cultural assets of our city.

Berlin followed Montreal’s example with the project “CODE – The Create Berlin poster contest”and established a contest involving 300 creatives from all around the world that propose a poster that represents Berlin as a UNESCO City of Design. The poster Sid Lee Collective has created for this project is titled: “TWO UNESCO CITIES OF DESIGN UNITED ON A COMMON GROUND”.
