Last Thursday was the opening of DJ Broadcast "re-cover" expo at the Sid Lee Collective Amsterdam Gallery. Here’s some pictures of the night.

DJ Broadcast now pays homage to the record sleeves by letting 16 of Holland's top artists “re-cover” their favourite album. Stefan Glerum, Pieter   Frank de Jong, Super Silo, Machine, Shoe, 310K, Marjolein Caljouw, Zender, Snar, Maslow, DarkRaum, Ceizer, Saskia Haex, Raphaël Bartels, Linda van der Vleuten, and kRiSs cRéoL gladly accepted the invitation, and are probably working their magic while listening their beloved tunes as you read this.

 

The exhibition will be held from June 29 until July 5 at Sid Lee Collective (Gerard Doustraat 74, 1072 VV, Amsterdam, in cooperation with partners from Record Industry, Jameson, Swatch, Eastpak, and 310K. The festive opening will take place on Friday, July 3, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

I never normally post my DJ mixes, but thought I'd just send this one out while it's semi-fresh...

This was my opening set from Tiga's album launch party at Neon in Montreal last weekend. It felt like another step in the sea change away from nu-rave. It's a bit low on the new unreleased material though there is a preview of Mike Mind's amazing new track 'Mind Game.'
